Superficial Venous Disease Treatment

Minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins, spider veins, and venous reflux — closing the failing superficial veins that cause aching, heaviness, swelling, and skin changes. Same-day, in-office.

What it treats

  • Varicose veins and symptomatic spider veins

  • Chronic venous insufficiency from refluxing (leaky) superficial-vein valves

  • Aching, heaviness, swelling, itching, and skin changes from superficial reflux

  • Venous ulcers driven by superficial disease

The right diagnosis first

We confirm the problem with a venous duplex ultrasound (a reflux study) before treating — and sort out whether your symptoms come from the superficial veins, the deep veins, or both. When the deep system is the driver, the fix is different. Deep Venous Stenting →

Procedures

  • Endovenous ablation (radiofrequency or laser) to close a refluxing vein

  • Sclerotherapy for varicose and spider veins

  • Microphlebectomy to remove bulging superficial veins through tiny punctures

Done in our office-based lab under local anesthesia, with same-day discharge and a quick return to daily life.
