TREATMENTS WE PERFORM
Kidney-Protective Vascular Care — Treating Arteries While Protecting the Kidneys
Vascular disease and kidney disease travel together. When you need angiography or intervention, protecting kidney function matters as much as the procedure itself — so we plan and perform care with the kidneys in mind from the start.
Why this matters
The dye used in angiography and the disease itself can both stress the kidneys, and many patients with peripheral, coronary, or renal-artery disease also have reduced kidney function. Careful planning lets us treat the artery while limiting the burden on the kidneys. See the Chronic Kidney Disease overview.
How we protect the kidneys
-
Careful case selection and planning — weighing the benefit of a procedure against kidney risk for each patient.
-
Contrast-sparing angiography — techniques that limit the amount of dye used.
-
Coordination with nephrology — aligning timing, hydration, and medications around your procedure.
Our own contrast stewardship
Published safe-volume ceilings are one thing; here is how little contrast our procedures actually use, measured across every case with a recorded volume.

Kidney-artery disease
When narrowed arteries to the kidneys are contributing to hard-to-control blood pressure or declining function, reopening them may help. Renal artery intervention →
